Anand's Anand

"The thrill of watching a magic show is not any greater than the thrill of performing the magic. You can sense the 'gasp' that runs around the auditorium when a feat is performed. The joy and "kick" when the audience applaud your performance just shoots up the adrenalin and eggs you on to perform more. Thisis the ultimate in joy, this is the reward that I crave for" says Jadugar Anand.
This has been the tonic that he has been feeding on and that which has helped him perform over 26,000 shows. "It is very important to sustain the interest level for every show. If I lose interest in performing, the audience will sense it immediately. This means that they will lose interest in watching the show. Therefore I should be motivated and charged for every performance. This I do through meditation". If you ask him what is the secret of his sucess he says, "Anand (Joy), keeping others anand".
Magic is an ancient art that is decaying. It has to be revived and given a fresh lease of life. "I am glad that my many fellow magicians in the country have realised this and are now forming Magic clubs. I have a long cherished dream of opening an academy to train young people in this very vibrant and interesting field of make believe".
